Samantha Altamare is thrilled to join the team at Legacy Gymnastics, where she looks forward to collaborating with both parents and children. She will be teaching Mommy and Me classes, as well as Tiny Tots, Level 1 and Level 2 classes.

Samantha Altamare is thrilled to join the team at Legacy Gymnastics, where she looks forward to collaborating with both parents and children. She will be teaching Mommy and Me classes, as well as Tiny Tots, Level 1 and Level 2 classes.


As a mother to her amazing little boy, Levi, born in October 2022, Samantha understands the joys and challenges of parenting firsthand. In addition to her role at Legacy Gymnastics, she works in the mental health field, where she has extensive experience educating and promoting positive change among both adolescents and adults.


Samantha’s passion for gymnastics and cheerleading began early. She started coaching at the age of 14 and has since worked with youth cheerleading teams and gymnastics programs from preschool through high school, including competitive cheerleading. Her dedication to working with children is evident, and she is excited to inspire and help boys and girls enjoy the sport of gymnastics at Legacy Gymnastics.


With a unique blend of experience in both mental health and athletics, Samantha brings a compassionate and holistic approach to her coaching, fostering both physical and emotional growth in her students. She is eager to share her love for gymnastics and cheerleading with the community and contribute to the development of young athletes.

A former cheerleader at Slippery Rock University (SRU), Maelyn has been involved in cheerleading since the age of five. Her dedication and talent were showcased when she and her team won 2nd p

  

Maelyn Marko, hailing from Harrisville, PA, is excited to bring her extensive experience and passion for cheerleading and gymnastics to our team. A former cheerleader at Slippery Rock University (SRU), Maelyn has been involved in cheerleading since the age of five. Her dedication and talent were showcased when she and her team won 2nd place at the NCA College Nationals.

Maelyn coaches both cheerleading and gymnastics, drawing on her rich background and competitive experience to inspire and develop young athletes. She holds a degree in Education in Physical Activities and Fitness Management, with a minor in Coaching, which provides her with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of athletic training and education.

Beyond the gym, Maelyn loves to work out, spend time with friends and family, and watch sports. Her commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle, coupled with her love for community and teamwork, makes her a dynamic and engaging coach.

Maelyn is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and passion with her students, helping them to achieve their goals and enjoy the journey of cheerleading and gymnastics. With her supportive and energetic approach, she aims to create a positive and motivating environment for all her athletes.

Tiny Tots

 Join our Beginner Gymnastics Class, focused on floor work and perfect for young gymnasts  no prior experience necessary! Our experienced coaches create a nurturing and supportive Tiny Tots Gymnastics (Ages 3–6, No Experience Needed!)

Our Tiny Tots class is the perfect introduction to gymnastics for little ones with no prior experience. Designed with fun and safety in mind, this class helps children build confidence while learning the basics of movement, balance, and coordination. Through age-appropriate activities, obstacle courses, and beginner gymnastics skills, children develop strength, flexibility, and body awareness—all while making friends and having fun!


With patient instructors and a positive environment, Tiny Tots is a great first step into the world of gymnastics, helping kids gain foundational skills that will support future sports, school, and play.environment where children can explore movement, build confidence, and enjoy physical activity. Each class begins with a fun warm-up and stretching routine, incorporating playful games and animal walks to get moving. Children will learn basic gymnastics skills such as forward and backward rolls, tuck jumps, and star jumps. To develop motor skills and coordination, we set up exciting obstacle courses and balancing drillings. Balance activities include walking on low balance beams and practicing one-leg stands to improve stability. Arches and rolls are introduced. Playful exploration is encouraged through parachute games and creative dance movements. We conclude each session with gentle stretching and team work exercise, ensuring a well-rounded and enjoyable experience.

Beginner

Our Beginner class is designed for children who are just starting out in gymnastics and are ready to build a strong foundation. Students should have a basic cartwheel and the ability to arch from the floor, as well as be able to listen and follow instructions in a group setting.


This class focuses on developing coordination, balance, strength, and flexibility through fun and structured activities. Gymnasts will refine their cartwheels, bridges, and basic body shapes while working toward new skills such as handstands, standing back bends, and learning to use their non-dominant side. With supportive coaching and a positive environment, beginners gain confidence and discipline as they prepare for more advanced gymnastics progressions.

Intermediate

This class is designed for gymnasts who already have a solid foundation in basic skills and are ready to take the next step! Athletes entering Intermediate must have mastered cartwheels, standing back bends, and show confidence with beginner movements.


In this class, students will continue building strength, flexibility, and control while progressing toward more advanced skills such as round-offs, back walkovers, and connected skill combinations. Our coaches provide structured instruction in a supportive environment, ensuring each gymnast develops proper technique and confidence as they move toward higher-level gymnastics.


Perfect for kids eager to challenge themselves and grow, Intermediate sets the stage for future progressions in tumbling and advanced gymnastics.

Advanced Tumbling

  Our Advanced Tumbling class is built for athletes who have mastered their walkovers and round-offs and are ready to progress into more powerful skills. In this class, gymnasts will focus on developing strong technique and confidence while working toward handsprings, aerials, and connected tumbling passes.


With an emphasis on strength, body control, and proper form, athletes will refine their current skills while learning advanced progressions in a safe and supportive environment. This class is perfect for students looking to take their tumbling to the next level and prepare for higher-level gymnastics & cheer

power Tumbling

Our Power Tumbling class is designed for athletes who have already developed strong, consistent back handspring skills and are ready to take their tumbling to the next level. This class focuses on building strength, speed, and technique for advanced tumbling passes.


Students will progress into running tumbling skills, connecting round-offs into multiple back handsprings, and begin working on tuck skills such as back tucks and front tucks. Emphasis is placed on proper form, body control, and safe progressions to help athletes gain confidence while developing powerful, dynamic tumbling.


Perfect for gymnasts, cheerleaders, or anyone looking to advance their tumbling with explosive skills and combinations.

Private Gymnastics Lessons

 

Looking for personalized attention and faster progress? Our Private Gymnastics Lessons are designed to meet each athlete right where they are. Whether your child is just starting out, working to perfect a specific skill, or aiming to advance to the next level, one-on-one instruction provides the focused coaching they need.

Private lessons allow gymnasts to:

  • Receive individualized feedback and corrections
     
  • Build confidence in a supportive environment
     
  • Progress at their own pace
     
  • Work on specific skills such as cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, or advanced tumbling
     

Sessions are tailored to each gymnast’s goals and skill level, with flexible scheduling to fit busy families.

Open Tiny Tumbling

Open Tiny Tumble is a playful, open-gym style class where little ones can explore movement in a safe and fun environment. Designed for children from walking age up to 5 years old, this class gives toddlers the chance to climb, jump, roll, and tumble at their own pace.


Parents must be present and actively participate alongside their child, making this a great opportunity for bonding while introducing kids to the basics of gymnastics movement and motor skill development. With age-appropriate equipment and a supportive atmosphere, Toddler Open Tumble encourages confidence, coordination, and a love for movement—all while keeping it fun!

Adult fitness Gymnastics Pop Up sept 20th @ 9:30 am

 

Step outside your comfort zone and discover a whole new way to train! Our Adult Fitness Gymnastics Pop-Up Class is the perfect blend of strength and conditioning with fundamental gymnastics skills.

This unique 60-minute class is designed for adults of all fitness levels who want to challenge their bodies, improve mobility, and build confidence. The first half of class focuses on strength and conditioning drills to build power, endurance, and core stability. The second half introduces basic gymnastics fundamentals—such as handstands, rolls, cartwheels, and body control techniques—scaled to your ability.

Whether you’re brand new to gymnastics or simply looking to add variety to your workout, this class will help you:

Mommy & Me Pop Up Class Sept 13th @ 9:30am

  Our Mommy & Me Pop-Up Class is a special one-time event designed for little ones and their caregivers to enjoy together! Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, this class introduces basic gymnastics movements through fun activities, songs, and obstacle courses.


Parents actively participate alongside their child, helping them build coordination, balance, and confidence while sharing plenty of smiles and laughter. It’s a wonderful way to bond, make memories, and connect with other families in a relaxed, playful environment.
